Howard:
Yes, there will surely be a break for the Holiday's.
Tentative dates off will be 12/23/24 through 1/3/25
but not official yet.
Schedule
Thank you Tony for the tentative draft date posted. I assume you will repost if it changes?
I also saw that you posted that now the season has a first and second half. Is there a break in games between the two halves? If so can tentative dates be given for the break so people can schedule vacations, appointments, etc., and not miss games if possible?

Howard:
The draft date is 7/22/24 but subject to change if needed.
The new teams will be posted soon after the draft providing
I have all the data, new players added and sponsors set.
Draft
Can the draft date be posted on the Website for all to see? And when the new teams will be posted. This would help those who have other events or are traveling before the season.

Thanks to everyone for your concern. It was a surprise. But I plan on surviving God willing. . It's nice to have so many friends
Time to retire again
As I posted last summer, my doctor in New York told me not to play softball anymore but my doctor in Florida gave me permission. Unfortunately, my Florida doctor was wrong. I came back for the second half. and didn’t really play well at all. Plus The pain in my back after playing a game is excruciating, so I think it’s time to hang up my cleats for good. I had a great time playing for the past 12 years and met and played with a lot of good guys. I will miss that so much but I really don’t have a choice. I would like to give special thanks to the player Committee and especially Artie for letting letting me come back after I took the first half of the season off, but I just wasn’t the same as I used to be thank you all for letting me be part of a great organization, and I hope it continues. I will miss playing ball and especially all you guys, but have a great summer and a great season next year. Thanks again, Ross.
WHACS old timer
I ran into Tom Bennel yesterday. He was doing remarkably well and was jovial as always. He asked about the league and told me to pass along a big Hello to all our players and families. Tom said he had a close call with serious heart attack week before last but the doctors performed miracles and several stents later he felt fit as a fiddle. To be honest he looked great. Just wanted to pass this along to everyone
“Thanks” Al
Al - Best wishes and sincerest “thanks” for being a part of WHACS - understandably, our personal lives always come first and require our utmost attention. Special thanks for your dedication and contribution to our 2023 Championship team - a memorable group of ballplayers! Be well as you move forward, my Friend.
Family frirst
